Some wildlife I have come across and been able to capture on film:

Very lucky shot here, full wings open, beautiful butterfly, let me get nice and close.

A small midnight blue butterfly, couldn't get close enough to get a clear shot, busy little bugger...

Was it a stick, no, it sure was a snake on the trail, he was very scared and slimed off quickly...

Tried to get a close, but safe shot, but he started to coil, so I snapped it and stepped away to leave him be...

Very nice doe, she scared the hell out of us, we must have walked within 5 feet of her before she bolted, she finally headed off after this photo.

Hard to see, but above the horizon, to the left of the tower, 2 black specs represent circling vultures, looked great in person, need a zoom lens.

During one of the wetter hikes I was on, this frog was sunning himself on the rock in the midst of the trail/stream as water flowed on the path.

This garter snake let me get nice and close for a good closeup, but was very still. I took the shot and let him be after that.

This little tiny red snake was sunning itself on a rock and we weren't sure if it was alive, it was sleeping...

So we woke the tiny red snake and he slithered into the crack between the rocks so we could pass.
